The SEPTON project has taken the initiative to foster collaboration with related EU-funded projects within the realm of cybersecurity for medical devices, as encouraged by the European Commission’s directives outlined in MDCG 2019-16 (https://ec.europa.eu/docsroom/documents/41863).
This collaborative effort aims to address the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures and draw upon prior experiences in the field.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to identify common cybersecurity challenges, exchange best practices developed by each project, and establish a joint task force to address cybersecurity concerns specific to medical devices. Given that all participating projects focus on cybersecurity in the healthcare sector, this exchange of insights and methodologies is invaluable for developing effective cybersecurity practices throughout the lifecycle of our projects.
We believe that this collaborative synergy will not only enhance the cybersecurity resilience of project members but also contribute to the dissemination and communication of cybersecurity best practices in the medical device industry.
While the official cycle of the SEPTON project concludes in 2025, the project remains committed to maintaining its website, social media presence, and engagement with the collaborative network established through this initiative in accordance with MDCG 2019-16.
